The Fondazione Silvers ETS is a non-profit organization aimed at supporting scientific research in the medical field - with particular reference to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases, and specifically cardiac arrhythmias of genetic origin often leading to the sudden death of adolescents and adults.

These are various conditions known as SAADS (Sudden Adult Arrhythmic Death Syndrome) that often go undiagnosed because they give no obvious symptoms and occur suddenly, sometimes with a fatal outcome. When this occurs to well-known personalities, such as athletes and footballers, the event raises an uproar, then everything falls silent again. In reality, the cases are far more frequent than one might imagine, but precisely, they fall into silence.

It is therefore essential to support targeted research, not only to identify ad-hoc treatments, but also to raise public awareness for diagnosis and risk prevention.
